Terms & Conditions

  1. Standard UniFi VIP Package and TM Broadband & Phone Package TM Terms and Conditions apply.
  2. This promotion is ONLY applicable to existing UniFi and Streamyx customers.
  3. Promotion valid until further notice and applicable to RESIDENTIAL customers and for UPGRADE applications only.
  4. New Speed Upgrade must be 1 Mbps and above.
  5. Upgrading to 2 Mbps and above are subject to technical testing and service availability.
  6. Customers with outstanding bills must clear their payments first before they are allowed to enjoy this Speed Upgrade Promotion.
  7. Customers pay their current subscription fee for the first 3 months and only pay the selected upgrade package rate from the 4th month onwards.
  8. Additional call plan fee will not be charged (e.g. RM10. RM28 call plan)
  9. Upgrade upon upgrade is allowed. Contract will be refreshed for another 24 months for UniFi and 12 months for Streamyx.
  10. Package downgrades within contract period will be subjected to a fee of RM200 and the contract will be refreshed for another 24 months for UniFi and 12 months for Streamyx.
  11. The same current customer details such as name, address, etc must be used when upgrading. The first 3 months discounted pnce will not apply if they are changed.
  12. RM500 penalty applies for termination before 24 months contract ends for UniFi and RM350 penalty applies for termination before 12 months coil tract ends for Streamyx.

FAQ: SPEED UPGRADE PROMOTION

  1. What are the offerings for the Speed Upgrade Promotion?

    Customers will enjoy higher internet speed at discounted price for the first 3 months of subscription. However, if the current fee is higher than the new upgraded speed fee, the new package fee applies starting from the 1st month of package upgrade.

  2. Who is eligible for this Speed Upgrade Promotion?

    All existing UniFi and Streamyx customers are eligible for this promotion except subscribers of:

    For UniFi For Streamyx
    • Current Residential customers with Business package to higher Business package
    • Current Residential customers with Consumer package to Business package
    • PC Bundle HP Credit Card (within the 24 months contract period)
    • National Broadband Initiative (NBI) package
    • OKU Package
    • Current Residential customers with Business package to higher Business package
    • Current Residential customers with Consumer package to Business package
  3. How long is the Speed Upgrade Promotion period?

    The promotion is only valid until 30 th June 2012.

  4. How long is the con tract period?

    Upon upgrading, the contract period will be renewed for another 24 months for UniFi and 12 months for Streamyx.

  5. Where to apply?

    Customers may apply to upgrade existing packages by filling up the form above.

  6. Is there any speed restriction for the upgrade?

    Customers can only apply for speed upgrades of at least 1 Mbps and above.

  7. Is upgrade upon upgrade allowed?

    Yes. Contract period will be renewed upon upgrading for another 24 months for UniFi and 12 months for Streamyx.

  8. Can customers register the new upgraded account using another name?

    No. Customer’s profile and installation address must be the same as previous.

  9. Can customers downgrade from a higher speed to a lower speed?

    Package downgrades will be subjected to a fee of RM200 and contract will be refreshed for another 24 months for UniFi and 12 months for Streamyx.

  10. What is the penalty for early termination?

    Penalty fee for early termination is RM500 for UniFi and RM350 for Streamyx.

  11. Is an existing TM Phone™ or Dial-Up 1515 customer eligible to subscribe to this Speed Upgrade Promotion?

    No, Speed Upgrade Promotion is for existing UniFi and Streamyx customers only.

  12. Can Streamyx customers who currently subscribe to 384kbps and 512 kbps speed join this Speed Upgrade Promotion?

    Yes, as long as their destination speed is 1 Mbps and above.

  13. Is there any additional upgrade charge on top of the subscription fee for the Speed Upgrade Promotion?

    No. New WiFi modem, cordless phone and installation cost (if applicable) are FREE.

  14. Who is eligible for the FREE cordless phone and FREE WiFi modem?

    FREE cordless phone and FREE WiFi modem with 1 year warranty is only applicable to existing customers without the cordless phone and WiFi modem.

  15. Will TM extend its existing devices warranty when customer upgrades his/her package via this Speed Upgrade Promotion?
    1. UniFi to UniFi: No*
    2. Streamyx to UniFi: Yes*
    3. Streamyx to Streamyx upgrade: No*

    * However, if customer has not received the cordless phone and WiFi modem before, new devices with 1 year warranty will be provided.

  16. Are previously subscribed Value Added Services (VAS) still applicable upon upgrading?

    Yes, if VAS is retained, it will be charged separately on top of the internet subscription fee.

  17. Will customer get another TM WiFi ID upon upgrade?
    1. UniFi to UniFi: No
    2. Streamyx to UniFi: Yes
    3. Streamyx to Streamyx upgrade: No
  18. When customers of Streamyx 384 kbps or 512 kbps who subscribe to call plan (e.g. : RM10 and RM28 call plan), upgrade their internet speed via this Speed Upgrade Promotion, will they still have to pay for the call plan to enjoy free calls to TM Fixed Lines nationwide?

    No. Call plan is included for packages of 1 Mbps and above.
